If you’re a fan of drama be sure to check out these two films from different ends of the globe. Tautuktavuk (What We See) follows two siblings’ attempts to heal and overcome trauma during the pandemic and Limbo, an investigation into the cold case of a murdered Indigenous girl in an outback mining town.

If you’re looking for a laugh, be sure to check out Cody Lightning’s Hey Viktor!, a hilarious mockumentary starring Cody as he struggles to make a sequel to Smoke Signals. Taika Waititi is also back at the festival with his latest directorial effort Next Goal Wins, about the American Samoa team’s attempt to make a World Cup, as well as his executive produced Frybread Face and Me, about a preteen sent to live on his grandma’s homestead on the Navajo Nation.

For the documentary lovers, be sure to catch the english-language debut of Telling Our Story, a stunning four-part documentary highlighting 11 different First Nations in Quebec. You can also see Layla Staats fight for the right to access drinkable water in Boil Alert

Also be sure to catch these films starring cast members from TV series Reservation Dogs! In Backspot, Devery Jacobs plays a driven cheerleader struggling to handle the pressure when she and her girlfriend are both selected for an elite cheer squad. You can also see D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai in Hell of a Summer, a camp slasher comedy from Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk where a masked killer terrorizes a group of counsellors.
